Pixel-Mapped Power: GLP JDC Burst 1 at Elite Lighting

Elite Lighting, a Perth-based team of production professionals dedicated to delivering high-impact visual experiences, has expanded its lighting arsenal with the purchase of 16 GLP JDC Burst 1 hybrid strobe fixtures. The move reflects the company’s ongoing investment in cutting-edge tools that bring events to life through precision, creativity, and seamless execution.

With a focus on lighting for live concerts, corporate functions, and bespoke installations, Elite Lighting selected the JDC Burst 1 for its ability to serve multiple roles within a single fixture—delivering powerful strobe effects, full-colour RGBW washes, and precise pixel mapping in a rugged IP65-rated housing.

Each JDC Burst 1 features motorised 185° tilt, 1,200 RGBW LEDs split across 48 controllable segments, and a 12-zone white strobe line, offering immense flexibility for creative lighting design. These capabilities make it an ideal fit for Elite’s diverse event environments, where visual clarity, versatility, and impact are key.

The fixtures integrate effortlessly into existing control systems via DMX, Art-Net, sACN, and GLP iQ.Mesh, while the lightweight build and Camlock quick-release rigging streamline setup and repositioning—a must for fast-paced production schedules.

Speaking about the decision, Director Brock Preston said:
We’ve been looking for a robust tilting strobe, and when the GLP and Showtools team demonstrated the JDC Burst, it made a lot of sense and perfectly filled our strobe gap.

With this investment, Elite Lighting continues to solidify its role as Western Australia’s go-to lighting and production partner—trusted for delivering results that not only meet expectations but exceed them visually and professionally.
