Pixel-Mapped Power: GLP JDC Burst 1 at Elite Lighting

Elite Lighting, a Perth-based team of production professionals delivering lighting across concerts, corporate events and bespoke productions, expanded its lighting inventory with 16 GLP JDC Burst 1 hybrid strobe fixtures.

At the time of the investment, Elite was looking for a robust tilting strobe capable of performing multiple roles within the rig. The JDC Burst 1 provided a combination of white strobe output, RGBW wash, pixel mapping and movement within an IP65-rated fixture.

Each JDC Burst 1 features motorised tilt, 1,200 RGBW LEDs across 48 controllable segments and a 12-zone white strobe line, giving designers flexibility across a range of live production environments.

The investment also reflected the collaborative approach behind the project, with the Showtools team working closely with Brock and the Elite Lighting team to understand what was missing from their rig and help identify the right solution for their production needs.

Speaking about the original investment, Elite Lighting Director Brock Preston said:
“We’ve been looking for a robust tilting strobe, and when the GLP and Showtools team demonstrated the JDC Burst, it made a lot of sense and perfectly filled our strobe gap.”

Hybrid strobes remain an important part of modern lighting rigs, with different fixtures offering their own approaches to output, movement, colour and pixel control. Within our current range, options include the CHAUVET Professional STRIKE M, COLORado PXL Curve 1 and Portman FREAX, giving designers a broader choice depending on the requirements of the production.

With this investment, Elite Lighting continues to solidify its role as Western Australia’s go-to lighting and production partner—trusted for delivering results that not only meet expectations but exceed them visually and professionally.
